What to Do with Limits

Do you ever feel like your limits....well, limit you. Sometimes they even paralyze you into doing nothing? It can be so hard to push past that feeling. However, when you do, you will often find that those limits created opportunities that would not have happened if it were not for the difficult things you had to work through. There have been so many that have learned tenacity and accomplished some amazing things because their limits pushed them to be strong in new ways.

Pushing Through

One example of this is Helen Keller, the little deaf and blind girl. She had to fight her way through life because of her disability and because of that, she did not give up easily. Did you know she not only became the first deaf and blind girl to get a bachelor's degree, but she also became known for campaigning for social welfare, women’s suffrage, and disability rights as well as being a force to be reckoned with on any issue she felt strongly about.

You might say, "Well, I'm not the next Helen Keller," but when you are someone who has to fight through life because of difficult circumstances it will make you stronger in other ways. It might teach you how to be creative in dealing with your limits, or it might teach you how to push through accomplishing something. Did you know that's a skill that not everyone has? They say that necessity is the mother of invention. So, next time you feel down about your limits, instead of letting it stop you from doing something, try putting on your creative thinking cap and figure out how to get around that limit.

Is there anything that you have come up with to help you deal with or get around your limits? Let us know in the comments!
